Diocese of Santa Rosa

The Diocese of Santa Rosa was established on February 21, 1962, from portions of two previously existing dioceses, San Francisco and Sacramento. Today, The Diocese of Santa Rosa includes a Catholic population of about 150,000 people in the counties of Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino, Lake, Humboldt and Del Norte. As such, it is geographically large and very diverse; but demographically, it remains the smallest of the dioceses in California.

The Diocese of Santa Rosa consists of 42 parishes which are segmented into five deaneries. St. Bernard Parish is within the Humboldt – Del Norte Deanery. Our Bishop is Rev. Robert Vasa.

Several delegates from the parishes throughout the diocese comprise a Diocesan Pastoral Council. St. Bernard Parish currently has an available seat. If you are interested in serving on this council, please speak to our pastor.
